Rectangles, 98W, Lichtenberg Villabouw, Noordwijk, NL
The four villages of the municipality of Noordwijk each have their own unique character. You can visit flower bulb fields, stroll along the beach, and encounter deer in the dunes.
Here, a country house, designed by Building Design Architecture, is fitted with unique louvers. By Sunshield, commissioned by Lichtenberg Exclusive Villa Construction in Rijssen (NL).
A striking entrance is centrally located in the front facade. Narrow, tall windows are positioned to the left and right, where wooden louvers have been installed on the first floor.
On the garden side, three louver systems have been installed side by side. The middle system begins directly above the garden door and extends to the overhang.
The slim windows to the left and right of this system are also equipped with louver systems in this way. Because of the villa's rural character, wooden louver type 98-W were chosen.
During installation, the louvers were set at a fixed angle of 30-degrees. This blocks direct sunlight, largely blocks out solar heat, and preserves daylight.
The louvers are treated with a clear lacquer, allowing them to harmonize beautifully with the steel portal frames and grey facade brick.
The aluminum components, such as the vertical carriers, are coated in RAL 7021. The 30% gloss gives the black-grey color a matte appearance.
