Shropshire is a ceremonial county in the West Midlands of England, on the border with Wales. Its hilltops are not particularly high, but they still offer fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding area.

When client Dan built his new home in Market Drayton, he was looking for a solution for the southwest-facing windows. These openings not only let in a lot of sunlight, but also a lot of solar heat. This tended to make the interior spaces uncomfortably warm.

However, Dan also wanted to preserve the beautiful countryside views, which made the location so special. After careful consideration and advice from colleagues at Sunshield UK, Dan opted for louver systems with the aluminum 150-E slat.

The 150-E louver a width of 14 centimeters, providing a large field of view. When the louvers are open, you have an unobstructed view, while when (partially) closed, they provide excellent protection from sunlight and heat.
