16 meter high trapezium and two 20+ meter skylights

At the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk, Sunshield and her partner Roltis have realized a beautiful trapezium. It is 16 meters high and 3,6 meters wide. Additionally, two skylights of 21 and 25 meters have been installed with the same system. All blinds and Somfy automation are made in the color basalt grey (RAL 7012).

The European Solidarity Centre is both functionally as architecturally very satisfied with the Sunshield 88-E blackout system. The centre of solidarity had a strong need for glare control. In order to provide the most effective glare control the Sunshield 88-E blackout system was chosen.

The 88E is made of extruded aluminium and, and can also be installed  outside. The 88E system has an interlock system in the louver and in combination with brushes a close to 100% black-out can be realized. The 88E is made of extruded aluminium and, and can also be installed  outside.
